Background:
My love for fishing started at the age of five. Dangling a night crawler into the shallows of some
murky watered lake, pond, or riverbank shore waiting for that
thrill of the jolt radiating from the end of the line to the end of
the rod and finally to my much anticipating hands. Half of the joy
was from not knowing what species would appear out of those murky
waters. I enjoyed catching a variety of fish including Sunfish,
Bluegill, Crappie, Bass and even Bullheads. It did not matter in
those days. The thrill and exhilaration was to keep bringing me
back. I continued my love of fishing, tuning my skills, perfecting
techniques, adapting to changing conditions, adding to tackle, and
auxiliary equipment right up to the present time. I feel that I have
the skills, determination, confidence, and the desire to be the best
I can be. This makes me a competitive tournament angler in any event
I enter. I say this with knowledge from my previous successes I have
met in both individual events and team events that I have been
involved in since fall of 1989. I have turned my concentration to
the fastidious bass. These magnificent yet enigmatic predators, of
course I am referring to the Small Mouth and Large Mouth Bass. It is
here that I have disciplined my skills, and have directed my tackle
and equipment procurements. It is here where I dedicated my personal
pursuit to "EXCELLENCE IN BASSIN".
