Steve Quinn

Steve Quinn, who has been an In-Fisherman magazine editor for twenty years, is also a Certified Fisheries Scientist with the American Fisheries Society.

Senior editor of
In-Fisherman's
annual Bass Guide.

Background:

Steve Quinn has been fishing since the age of six, after spending summers in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.  Ever seeking new fishing experiences, he responded to a notice in the New York Times about the inaugural tournament of the New York B. A. S. S. Federation at Oneida Lake, and fished it in the summer of 1975.  There he met other avid bass anglers and began a career of organized and competitive fishing.

Steve has fished a wide array of club, state, and regional tournaments in New York, Massachusetts, and Georgia before moving to Minnesota in 1988. As Editor of In-Fisherman, he researches new fishing topics to keep readers on the leading edge of tackle and techniques. Steve is Senior Editor of In-Fisherman's Annual Bass Guide. This position brings him to outstanding fishing locations across North America where he fishes with many local experts and some of the top national pros.

Steve fishes for a variety of other species as well, and is a Contributing Editor to In-Fisherman's Walleye Guide, Walleye In-Sider, Ice Guide, and Catfish In-Sider Guide.  He also co-hosts In-Fisherman Television and is a commentator on radio shows.  As a certified Fisheries Scientist with the American Fisheries Society, Steve has published many scientific papers on fish biology and management.  Before joining In-Fisherman, he worked as a Fishery Biologist for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
