Background:
In the late 1980's I returned to the Brainerd Lakes area from a tour
in the Air Force and joined a local fishing club. I was hooked from
the beginning, fishing walleyes, bass, almost anything that bit.
After a few years with the club and fishing some state tournaments,
I built up enough confidence to start fishing money tournaments.
The
"Classic" on Whitefish was one of my favorite events.
I also participated in some Pro/AM's for a few years, gaining
experience from some great Pro anglers. My first year in the MN PRO/AM, I
finished in 8th place on the amateur side, had tons of fun and it
made me want to join in on the fun as a Pro. Now I run a Ranger Z21
(love it) and look forward to soft water in MN.
