Tournament Fee bill passes
The Minnesota Legislature and Governor has passed and signed a bill, that allows
the DNR to charge for processing tournament applications in 2008. Here is
language from the bill:
(c) The permit fee for any individual contest may not exceed the following
amounts:
79.12 (1) $120 for an open water contest not exceeding 100 participants and
without
79.13 off-site weigh-in;
79.14 (2) $400 for an open water contest with more than 100 participants and
without
79.15 off-site weigh-in;
79.16 (3) $500 for an open water contest not exceeding 100 participants with
off-site
79.17 weigh-in;
79.18 (4) $1,000 for an open water contest with more than 100 participants with
off-site
79.19 weigh-in; or
79.20 (5) $120 for an ice fishing contest with more than 150 participants.
