CHAMPIONS TOUR GULL LAKE EVENT: PRESENTED BY SKEETER BOATS AND YAMAHA OUTBOARDS

Last year's champ, Tadd Johnson, previews Gull Lake just before blast off of the 2018 Champions Tour event on Gull Lake

Champions Tour anglers are on the water and scoring fish already. It's going to be an exciting day on Gull Lake!

It looks like George Liddle has started shallow. He's off to a nice start with 5 fish for 18-15 and is unofficially in 4th place



We have clouds and fairly calm conditions. The topwater bite is going for several anglers including George Liddle who is unofficially in 4th place right now



Brad Leifermann is no stranger to Gull Lake and it's showing this morning. He's off to an excellent start and is unofficially in the lead



Andy Nitchals is sharing space with Brad Leifermann. There is a pile of fish in this location that have both anglers near the top of the leaderboard



The fishing has slowed here on Gull in the last hour or so. We caught up with Dave Larson for an update on how the day has been in his boat so far



Glenn Walker describes how he's utilizing the Depth Highlight feature on his Humminbird unit to help keep his boat in the magic depth that he established during practice for the Champions Tour event



The numbers of fish being caught is fairly low. Brian Wood knows that in this situation big fish can go a long ways!



Unofficially, Justin Rowe is our current YETI Big Bass leader with a 4 pound 12 ounce largemouth he caught earlier this morning



A few last minute first half thoughts from Dean Capra



Anglers are out and the second half in underway. Bob Perkins has high expectations for the afternoon bite

Brad Leuthner has been on fire to start the 2nd half but so have several other anglers. There are multiple anglers within a pound or two of each other that are pushing for one of the top 6 coveted championship qualifying spots



Time management and consistently catching fish is the name of the game in the Champions Tour. Shane Raveling knows this well and is getting into a groove here in the 2nd half



When the fishing is slow, you tell fish stories



Arnold Helgerson is making moves! One of the better dock fishermen around is taking full advantage of an increasingly productive bite. Arnold has rocketed from 18th place this morning to 4th unofficially



Dean Capra has been at or near the top of the leader-board all day. A strong finish just may allow him to walk away with a Champions Tour Trophy



Spring Grove Soda is powering our crew through a long day on the water in high heat!



Austin Felix scores an important bass with less than an hour remaining in the tournament. Felix is currently 1 pound out of the lead unofficially
