Izatys Resort Catering to the Needs of Angler’s, Families and Outdoor Enthusiasts

Venturing to Mille Lacs…Put Izatys Resort on the Top of Your List

Izatys Resort is located just 90 miles from the Twin Cities on the south shore of Lake Mille Lacs, a lake that has climbed to the top of BASS’s top-100 lake list and is continually being added to bass angler’s bucket lists for places to fish.  Mille Lacs will serve as the host for two Classic Bass Champions Tour events this year.

Besides offering world class smallmouth bass fishing, Mille Lacs is a great fishery for a multitude of fish species, from walleye and muskie, to northern pike and perch.  All anglers have a home at Izatys Resort, which has its own private boat ramp and marina for anglers to use along with a large parking area, perfect for bass clubs or tournament organizations that are looking for a host site on Mille Lacs.

“We are thrilled to be hosting two Classic Bass Champions Tour events this year,” said Kevin Mullarky, General Manager of Izatys Resort.  “We are confident that the Champions Tour anglers, boat officials and their families will enjoy not only some of the best smallmouth bass fishing in the country on Mille Lacs, but also experience all that Izatys has to offer.”

To further enhance its guest’s experience and produce successful days on the water, Izatys Resort hired Mille Lacs fishing guide, Mark Schutz, to serve as the Director of Sportsman Activities.  From taking guests out on guided fishing trips, to helping plan and organize fishing events, Mark not only has the knowledge to put anglers on fish, he knows how to create an exciting and fun filled experience that is not easily forgotten.

“No matter if you are coming to Mille Lacs for a fishing trip, family vacation or just a place to take in the beauty of Mille Lacs, Izatys is an incredible resort,” said Schutz.

The resort itself features a large meeting room area, which can house pre-tournament events, weddings, or other receptions, along with a 147 boat slip (75 available for rental) marina and protected harbor.  The restaurant has a lounge and dining room, that both offer a bar menu, along with full dining options.  Their menu changes weekly, so you’ll want to continually stop in to see what they have cooking!

For the non-angler in your traveling party, or if you just want to change things up, Izatys offers Black Brook, an award winning 18-hole golf course.  Black Brook was the 5th golf course in the state of Minnesota to be certified from the National Audubon Society of New York.

If you are looking to go off road (literally) from Mille Lacs, Izatys Resort has a fleet of ATV RZR side-by-side’s for rental.  Tours in the area range from easy terrain to more difficult off road trail adventures.

The recently renovated, The Inn Hotel offers 28 rooms for patrons to rest up after a long day of reeling in monster bronzebacks with both standard rooms and deluxe suits available.  If you want to book a cottage for your group, Izatys offers water front options with a view of some of the best sunsets in Minnesota.  All guests have access to an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, tennis and pickle ball courts.

The 2018 Champions Tour will kick off its season on Lake Mille Lacs at Izatys Resort on Saturday, June 9th and then return on July 21st for the second of the Champions Tour Open events.  Classic Bass welcomes and encourages all bass fans to join them at Izatys Resort to experience a Champions Tour event first hand.  “The accommodations, food and beverage, and location made Izatys Resort the ideal partner for the Champions Tour,” stated Scott Bonnema, Owner of Classic Bass.
