The Classic Bass Champions Tour

Zimmerman, MN – Classic Bass (ClassicBass.com), a leader in providing bass tournament anglers informative, current information, is very pleased to announce that a new bass tournament series will be coming to the Midwest in 2017.

The Classic Bass Champions Tour was inspired by a desire to provide live results and techniques to Classic Bass users.  “For several years now, anglers have expressed interest for new, fresh and exciting tournament concepts,” commented Scott Bonnema, Owner of Classic Bass.  “With the Champions Tour, we aim to bring the finest Midwest bass anglers together to compete on some phenomenal fisheries.”

The Classic Bass Champions Tour is an individual tournament series, where each angler is paired with a boat official who will track and record each legal fish and enforce the Champions Tour regulations. Every smallmouth or largemouth bass that is caught, which meets the 12-inch minimum length requirement will count towards the anglers weight/score. At no time will any bass be placed in the boat’s livewells and brought to a weigh-in.  Classic Bass will be streaming live results and posting fish catches and fishing techniques.

“Having been a tournament director for over the past 17 years, I’m extremely excited to be involved with the Champions Tour, incredible payout, innovative technology, Pro anglers and the ability to watch the events on your smartphone,”  said Mark Schutz, Classic Bass Operations Manager and Champions Tour Tournament Director.

Classic Bass is excited to announce that Skeeter Boats and Yamaha Outboards are the presenting sponsor of the Champions Tour!  Anglers that qualify for the year will be competing for a chance to win a Skeeter Boat equipped with a Yamaha Outboard.  “We are very excited that Skeeter Boats and Yamaha Outboards have partnered with Classic Bass to provide the 2017 Championship winner a brand new Skeeter boat equipped with a Yamaha Outboard,” exclaimed Bonnema.

Classic Bass aims at providing bass fisherman with beneficial and current bass fishing information, which now will be boosted by the Champions Tour, as results can be followed real time via ClassicBass.com and on social media.  Competing anglers will also be providing Classic Bass with helpful fishing information on the lake they are fishing, along with the techniques and lures they are using.
