The Classic Champions Tour, the Midwest’s most exciting and prestigious bass tournament trail is proud to announce that they have strengthened their partnership with the Student Angler Organization (SAO), by offering an exciting opportunity for graduating seniors to qualify for the 2025 Champions Tour.
For the 2025 Champions Tour, a graduating senior (class of 2024) will be qualified for the Tour and be sponsored by Classic Bass and SAO for the season, giving this young angler the opportunity to fish against some of the best anglers in the Midwest.
“We are very excited to announce the “Student Stairway to Success” award, that we have worked to develop with our great partners at the Student Angler Organization,” said Scott Bonnema, Owner of the Champions Tour. “The anglers that compete in the SAO events are tomorrow’s tournament anglers, and many previous participants are already among the Champions Tour ranks.”
Angler’s will be able to compete for the “Student Stairway to Success” award by competing in the SAO Virtual Fishing League’s “Fall Fling” event on Sunday September 8th. The highest finishing graduated senior in that event will win the award. If two seniors are fishing in a boat together, whoever catches the biggest fish in their bag will win the tie breaker. The winning senior must commit to the 2025 Champions Tour by the time registration opens for the 2025 Champions Tour. If they cannot attend, then the next graduating senior in the standings from the September 8th event will receive the award.
“We are excited and pleased to further our partnership with the Champions Tour. We recognize the caliber of anglers here and were very excited to work with them on this incredible opportunity for our graduating senior anglers,” said Jimmy Bell, Student Angler Organization, President.
